“The winning couple are destined to be together for all eternity!”

That’s what they say about our school’s couple contest. And I, Toushirou Utsugi, ended up being entered into the contest despite being single. Why?

Because my group, the Wednesday Club, wants to leave proof of our existence in the form of the winner’s trophy that’s displayed in the showcase at the school entrance.

“Want to know the secret to winning the couple contest? Well, just leave it to me! I know more about the contest than anybody else!”
The manager of our club and my childhood friend, Itsuki Futaba, has devised a detailed game plan, one that marks a sudden shift in the Wednesday’s Club daily activities, which have, in the past, been nothing but sitting around daydreaming.

“Okay, let’s hit the ground running! Step one? Strength! Step two? Strength! I don’t have a step three and step four, but as long as you’re with me, we’ll win this for sure!”
The sporty Kogane Ayukawa starts pulling me around by the arm.

“When you really think about it, knowledge and memories are all just thought patterns. Are you up for the test... to see how much you know about me?”
Our intelligent leader, Beniyuki Toomi, stays by my side while she tutors me.

“What you need is some style and personality. And I need you. Understand?”
The infrequent member, Rika Shuukaidou, spends every day ballroom dancing like the young madam she is...

They really think they can win the couple contest by improving me as a man?
Who am I even supposed to pick as my girlfriend in the first place...?!
