主角‧边出灯最近开始在这附近首屈一指的大富豪‧天摩家的洋馆里工作。
原本应该是上高中的年纪，其他的同学们也都顺利升学了，只有主角放弃学业住进天摩家成为佣人。

并不是成绩太差的缘故。
只是某些原因导致他必须在天摩家工作。
而且那个原因还不是他造成的，而是双亲过去发生的事才……

不过，主角并没有觉得自己很不幸。

「可怜？有吗……？我没有特别觉得自己不幸喔！」

在现在这种时代里能有稳定的工作还有住的地方。
光是这样就已经足够了。
当然了，天摩家的当主‧严一郎会说些严厉的话──感觉好像被讨厌了──但自己还是足够幸福了。

担任执事的静女小姐虽然很可怕，但黑服们总是充满精神，最重要的是圣诗流小姐好温柔。
要是优里亚小姐也在的话一定会更开心吧。
圣诗流的姊姊‧优里亚小姐已经失踪一个月了。

就在某一天，发生了一起改变灯的人生的事件。
一名叫做梅菲斯特的尖尾巴恶魔出现了，还强迫他签契约。
以灵魂为代价实现愿望的契约。

但是灯可不是浮士德博士。
那个声音、那个眼神。
绝对是平常就看着的那个人。
灯注视着恶魔开口问了。

「您是……圣诗流小姐对吧？」

It is the 21st Century, the modern era...
The main character, Tomoru Hende, has just started working at the manor of the wealthiest family in the neighborhood, the Tenmas.
He should be at school with all the other freshmen, but instead Tomoru is the house servant at the Tenma Manor.

It’s not because his grades are really lacking.
He has been driven here by circumstance.
Through no fault of his own, but by the consequences of his parents' long-ago actions...

Regardless, Tomoru doesn’t lament his current situation.
“Poor me? ...Really? I don’t think things are all that bad!”

In these troubling times, he’s got a job and a place to live. That’s enough to keep him happy.
Of course, the head of the Tenma family, Gen'ichirou, says some truly horrible things to Tomoru, and may well even despise him, but he still keeps his head high.

The maid, Shizume, can be strict, but all the servants work very hard, and above all else, Madam Seshiru is very kind to Tomoru.
If only her sister, Madam Yuria, were also here, then things would be even more fun, but unfortunately she mysteriously vanished without a trace one month ago.

But one day, something happens that will change Tomoru’s life.
A wicked devil with a pointed tail appears like Mephistopheles, offering Tomoru a deal. In exchange for his soul, she would grant the boy his wish.

But Tomoru is no Doctor Faust.
That voice, that gaze...
He knows this devil very well.
Tomoru looks back at the devil and asks,

“You’re Madam Seshiru... aren’t you?”
